Mission Statement
The mission of the Delano Union School District Technology Department is to provide outstanding customer service and reliable support for the students and staff of our district. Our team ensures that teachers have the tools, resources, and guidance they need to deliver a 21st-century learning environment. We work closely with district administrators and staff to develop new strategies and implement innovative technologies that help our students excel.
Our department consists of six technicians, a Network Manager, and a Director of Technology. Together, we support a robust infrastructure across all twelve school sites, each connected to our data center through a dedicated 10-Gigabit network link. We manage a wide range of devices, including Windows desktops, laptops, Chromebooks, and iPads — all benefiting from our high-speed 10-Gigabit internet connection.
As part of our 2:1 technology implementation for students and staff, we prioritize safety, security, and responsible use. Every device in our district is protected by a multi-layered security system that includes SonicWall firewalls, Lightspeed Systems (Relay, Classroom and Alerts) for content filtering, and Sophos MDR for advanced threat detection and virus protection. These systems work together to ensure a safe, reliable, and secure digital learning environment for all users.
