Vanessa Duran has been an instrumental part in NVLA’s POWER program.  In her role as POWER Manager, she has built relationships with her team, students and parents.  She has many creative ideas and has implemented many initiatives for the after school program. She is selfless and everything that she does is for the students.  This year she spearheaded POWER PLUS, organizing over seventeen after school sessions ranging from Fitness Club to Folklorico.   Mrs. Duran helps out wherever needed and is a team player.  Vanessa Duran has been with the Delano Union School District since 2009, starting at Nueva Vista Language Academy then moved to Pioneer as an After School Activities Instructor.  She was recently named POWER manager and moved back to NVLA.  She thanks her parents, spouse and children as they are her inspiration.
