Nicolas exhibits the qualities of a leader. He is kind, empathetic, responsible, and respectful. He has accomplished many things in the short amount of time of being a Nueva Vista Phoenix. Although he was shy and nervous about being at a new school, he was courageous enough to run for ASB treasurer. He also participated in the Science Fair where he earned 4th place. He is currently reading his heart out in preparation for Battle of the Books and has been committed to this since the beginning of the school year. Nicolas enjoys all academic challenges especially math; he demonstrates his love of math through his participation in Beast Academy. Not only is he an avid participant in school activities, he also enjoys jiu jitsu, chess, and archery. His commitment towards his education is eminent and is shown through his Perfect Attendance record since kindergarten, Principal’s List Honor Roll and his overall academic achievement. Nicolas Alvizo displays the characteristics of a rising phoenix: growth, perseverance and dedication.
