It is with great pleasure that Nueva Vista Language Academy be represented by Mrs. Basilisa Ramirez as teacher of the year.  Sra. Ramirez has been a Dual Immersion teacher for the past nine years.  She is dedicated to creating a classroom environment that is challenging and engaging.   Sra. Ramirez credits her success to her loving family, parents and husband.  More specifically, this acknowledgement is dedicated to her father who passed away this school year.  He would always tell her, “¡échale ganas!” and always gave her words of encouragement.  Since she was a little girl learning from her parents, she wanted to be a teacher and now comes to work everyday with a smile on her face.  She loves her job and looks forward to impacting the students in her classroom.  She credits her knowledge and growth to many important people including her grade level colleagues and the NVLA staff.
